Asian Kitchen Miami

Mykell (Miami)·Dined on March 11, 2017BAO Bar + Asian Kitchen was a huge disappointment. The restaurant is very beautiful and you cannot beat the location as it sits right on the water but a restaurant is to dine in and the food here is not good. We ordered a tempura roll, crab rangoons and wonton soup to start. The sushi was sent back and had to be remade because it was a mess, regretfully the remake was minimally better. The wonton soup, although very pleasing to the eye, was bland and the wontons had a weird “pasty” texture and foreign taste. The wontons, also aesthetically pleasing, were not good. The crab was a gooey mess and resembled cafeteria-caliber tuna fish. Yuck! When it came time to order the entrée we finished out drinks which were very good, (lemon martinis) and left and went to Dr. B's. Perhaps under new ownership I would try BAO Bar + Asian Kitchen again.Tags: WaterfrontWas this review useful to you?Yes·No·Reportfood2ambience4service3value2

Alex (Miami)·Dined on March 5, 2017The food really was great, however the service was AWFUL and because of this I'll probably never return. We weren't served water (had to ask 3x), wasn't given silverware or plates with our appetizers, had to ask for soy sauce with my sushi, bus boys didn't clear off plates (has to ask numerous times after each dish) and our waiter didn't seem knowledgeable on the menu and that was frustrating. Also, pretty sure it was the first time the bartender made a Tom Collins because it was undrinkable. Overall, really disappointed the service sucked so much because the food was pretty good! Unfortunately for them, AsiaBay is directly across the street with equally (if not better) Asian food and great service. I'll be going there in the future. Was this review useful to you?Yes·No·Reportfood4ambience4service1value4

Solid sushi and Asian fusion takeout spot. You can't really dine in Asian kitchen as there is max two tables. That doesn't stop me from ordering takeout when I need a sushi fix that won't break the bank. They've got a good menu mix including a party sized fried rice that is served in a container of industrial proportions and most likely feeds 20 people. We ordered it once for my brothers birthday and we're eating it for days! Their pad Thai is also a pretty good and it's a hefty serving, too. My favorite sushi rolls are the 2-TU Mango roll & Daimyo roll. I would recommend this place for the cooked items and specialty roll menu. Their basic rolls are just that, basic.

I never been so displeased with Asian food in my entire life. Not only were they incredibly unprofessional on the phone, but they were entirely unaccommodating to, me, the paying customer. I asked for a simple order of chicken teriyaki in which they could not provide, despite it being a part of other entrees on the menu. And to make matters worse, when my roommate did order food, it was less than satisfactory and over priced. She woke up this morning feeling incredibly ill. I can only attribute this to Asian kitchen and neither me, nor Any of my friends, will ever return and waste hard earned money at this location. I will stick to the plentiful fruits of Panda Express for my chicken teriyaki.
